A heavy rainstorm has destroyed equipment worth millions of naira at Egbedi farm settlement close to Ede in Osun State.
Our correspondent gathered on Thursday that the rainstorm destroyed poultry pens worth several millions of naira during the rain which started around 6pm on Wednesday.
The rainstorm damaged many farms around the area and the owners have called on the state government for assistance to mitigate the loss.
The Farm Manager of Kojeh Farms Limited, Mr. Francis Odemba, told our correspondent on the telephone that farm owners were at a loss on what to do because of the enormity of the damage.
He said, ”The storm caused a huge damage to our multimillion naira state-of-the-art poultry pen.  The pen has two auto-layer cage imported from Germany.
