WAYNE ROONEY TRAINS WITH THE MANCHESTER UNITED RESERVES AT HIS OWN REQUEST.

Wayne Rooney trained with Manchester United's reserves earlier this morning, but not because of a fallout with the club.

The striker was keen to have a vigorous workout as he returns to fitness - and with the first-team having a light session following their trip to Stockholm, he opted for the second-team instead.

There were suggestions that a change of routine was because of a fallout with manager David Moyes, but Mirror Football understands that wasn't the case.

Rooney's decision was also taken in light of him missing tomorrow night's Rio Ferdinand testimonial match against Sevilla and David Moyes has already suggested that Rooney could miss Sunday's Community Shield clash against Wigan. *
