Iheanacho’s Switch to City is Back on Track

Kelechi Iheanacho’s move to Manchester City seems to be up for the green light again as the player and his father, James, are expected to be in England to clarify the grey areas ’rounding the contract they’ve signed.

Agents on the move to the Premier League club are working on getting the duo to England for a meeting with representatives of the Manchester club.

“Both the agents in the US and those in London are now co-operating to get visas to the UK for the Iheanachos so that they meet with Manchester City officials on the contract they have signed,” a top source exclusively told MTNFootball.com.

“You could therefore say the transfer is back on track.”

A deal with the second-placed EPL team looked to have fallen through recently after Iheanacho, Taye Academy and his father were made privy to the details concerning the January 2015 payment date of their fees.
Part of the issues to be thrashed out at the meeting includes the delayed payments.

Iheanacho recently signed for City in Madrid, Spain, after passing a medical- attended by the club’s chief scout Gary Worthington- in the capital city.

The player and his agents had opted to revive talks with FC Porto, while Sporting Lisbon and La Liga club Getafe have reportedly been considered, following the discovery of the delayed payment date.
