Beware of opposition’s deceits, APC warns Osun people

The All Progressives Congress  in Osun State  has urged the people of the state not to allow themselves to be deceived by some selfish and unscrupulous  politicians in the opposition parties.

The Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, Mr. Kunle Oyatomi, gave this warning in a statement in Osogbo on Monday.

The party urged the people of the state to pray for peace to continue to reign in the state and the country at large in 2014.

Oyatomi also warned some members of the opposition whom he accused of planning to cause crisis in the state.

He said, “We are urging Nigerians and the people of the state in particular to pray for peace to reign in the state in the year 2014, just as we are calling  for peaceful coexistence among the people of the state in the coming year.

“Next  year is a year of major decision-making in the state and it is important for the people of Osun to vote for continuity of the laudable programmes Governor Rauf Aregbesola is carrying out.

“The people of the state should not allow selfish politicians in the opposition parties to deceive them, saying that they failed the people of the state when they were given the opportunity to serve for seven and a half years.

“In the history of Osun State, Aregbesola is the only governor  who has done so much in just three years of administration. No other fellow has recorded the achievements of  Ogbeni in so short a time.

“There is no one in Osun today, including members of the opposition parties, whose family members have not benefited from the good policies of Ogbeni Aregbesola. His policies and programmes have attracted the world and the people of the state are now better than the way they were three years ago.”

The APC spokesperson  acknowledged the support of traditional rulers, religious leaders, political leaders, civil servants, artisans, professionals, teachers and students for the APC led government of Aregbesola in year 2013 and solicited for more in the coming year.
