Mandla Mandela facing charges

    
Mandla Mandela, the grandson of former president Nelson Mandela, is reportedly facing charges of assault.

According to a Sunday Times report, the charges are related to his alleged assault of a Mthathta teacher.

Mandela allegedly assaulted the teacher after he drove into a vehicle that a guest of Mandela had been driving. Mandela allegedly also drew a firearm during the incident.

The teacher, Mlamli Ngudle, reportedly needed surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain followingthe incident

The National Prosecuting Authority has confirmed that Mandela has been charged with assault.
