Defection Fever Hits Adamawa, as 21 PDP Local Govt Chairmen Defects to APC

The wave of members defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC has hit Adamawa state as no less than 21 PDP Local Government Chairmen across the state defected to the APC.

The 21 Local Govt Chairmen made an open declaration on Friday that after due consultation, in which they resolved to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to  join  All Progressives Congress, APC.



Among those who defected include 37 Development Area Administrators.

The Chairman of Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON, Alhaji Sa’abo Aliyu of Adamawa state, told newsmen  in Yola that they resolved to follow Governor Murtala Nyako  to APC because they have worked with the governor and  can attest to his good personality,  stressing that Nyako’s administration has never been  selfish but carries everybody along.
