The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has denounced allegations of a bomb explosion in Abuja saying the explosion that rocked Karu, a satellite town on Easter Monday is as a result of commercial explosives. Addressing a news conference in Abuja, the Commissioner of Police in charge of the FCT, Femi Ogunbayode who confirmed that no life was lost said the command has commenced investigations into how the explosives were stored at the site. Mr Ogunbayode however assured residents of the city of their continued safety saying the police are more than ready to discharge their primary duty of protecting lives and property
