Alaafin commends Ajimobi





The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, has described Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State as a listening leader who fulfils his electoral promises.

Adeyemi said this in his palace on Saturday while receiving Ajimobi who led top government officials in the state on a fitness walk, tagged 'Ajumorin Walk' in Oyo.

The monarch, who also participated in the walk, urged the people to support the governor in transforming the state.

Adeyemi said, "Governor Ajimobi is a man of honour. He made promises to the people of the state during his electoral campaign and he has started fulfilling them. We should all give him our support in order to continue his transformation programme."

In his remarks, the governor said a satellite campus of the Technical University, Ibadan would be sited in the town.

He said the campuses would be sited in other parts of the state to improve the standard of education in the state.

The governor inspected the Erelu Water Works in Oyo and promised that temporary measures would be put in place, within six months, to make the facility functional.
