Jail Inmate Impregnates 4 Prison Guards, Runs Drug Empire From Prison

An inmate allegedly got four prison guards pregnant and used several others to help him run a drug smuggling ring from a US jail.

Federal authorities allege that Tavon "Bulldog" White had exercised complete control over Baltimore Jail since arriving on an attempted murder charge in 2009.

"This is my jail. I make every final call in this jail," White allegedly boasted during a phone call intercepted by investigators.

Court documents allege White was the leader of a jailhouse gang called the Black Guerrilla Family, who worked with corrupt prison guards to smuggle marijuana, prescription pills, mobile phones and other contraband into the jail.

The ring also involved sex between inmates and guards, resulting in White getting four officers pregnant - one of them twice - fathering five children.

In at least one case, a corrections officer stood guard outside a cupboard at the jail while another guard had sex with an inmate.

Details of White's activities were revealed after he appeared in a Baltimore court under heavy guard this week to face that charge and others.

So far thirteen female corrections officers, seven inmates and five others have been charged with conspiracy, drug possession and distribution and money laundering.

According to court documents, White showered the guards he was romancing with expensive gifts such as luxury cars and, in one case, a diamond ring.

Two of the women had "Tavon" tattooed on their bodies.

With the prison guards wrapped around his finger, authorities say 36-year-old White was able to "manage gang activity on the city streets" and run a smuggling operation within the prison walls.

Prosecutors say White would brag about earning $16,000 during a "slow month," selling $10 Percocet pills for $30 while also selling one-gram bags of marijuana for $50, netting White a profit of about $1,000 per ounce.

The case will resume next month.
