Ogun speaks on land ceded to Lagos

Ogun State government has broken its silence on the 500 hectares of land allegedly acquired by Lagos State government in Egua in Yewa North Local Government Area of the state, explaining that its counterpart paid N5 million for the land.

It also disclosed that Lagos State government had been barred from constructing residential building, but can only use the land for agricultural purpose and that only indigenes must be employed to avoid revocation of the allocated lands.

State Commissioner for Agriculture, Mrs Ronke Sokefun stated this, weekend, during the 2013 ministerial briefing to mark the second year anniversary of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Sokefun said that the state government had undergone the initial review of the allocation and it was convinced that Lagos State government is genuine in its request.
