Kwara gov escapes attack as students' protest continued, protesters burn govt vehicle, others

Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed  on Tuesday  narrowly escaped being attacked by irate mob as  protest continued to rock Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
The protesters also prevented the the Governor from inaugurating some of the completed projects in commemoration of the two years anniversary of the administration. Our correspondent learnt that Ahmed  was on his way to inaugurate some of the projects when information reached him that one of his advance pilot vehicles had been burnt at Mubo Street, near Maraba Junction which was one of the roads for inauguration.

He was said to have called off all projects' inauguration.  The protesters were also said to have chased away  the crowd waiting for Ahmed to inaugurate another road project at Kulende-Royal Valley estate.
