Who is Nigeria’s Commander-in-Chief?

The Presidency has ordered all government functionaries to desist from addressing President Goodluck Jonathan as the “Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria” at non-military functions.

Comments:

Ugwueze Ikechukwu: Mr. President is just correct! He is not the commander-in-chief outside official military functions. The commander-in-chief outside official military function is the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. Kudos! I love this man for his modest sense of honesty.

Abideen Akinbode: Imagine, this man doesn’t know the meaning of the commander-in-chief of armed forces. So you dropped that title, but you kept all those huge salaries, bonuses, allowances and loads of aides. He never stops setting up committees unnecessarily.

What a President we have got! Anyway, do something about Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah, for heaven’s sake.

Ademola Boyejo: What purpose does that serve? Na that one go end ASUU strike, improve electricity supply, stop Boko Haram insurgency, improve employment opportunities or reduce embezzlement by ministers and aides in his government?
