APC, New PDP Alliance: Buhari, Tinubu To Visit Lamido, Kwankwaso Today

In what appears to be a final move to form an alliance by the APC and the New PDP along with G-7 governors, APC chieftains, Muhammad Buhari and Senator Bola Tinibu are set to meet with Jigawa State governor Sule Lamido at state government house today for a crucial meeting.

This was announced by the director of press to the Jigawa State governor Malam Umar Kyari.

He said the visit of the APC chieftains was in connection with security and political issues bothering the country.

It was gathered that the visitation by the top echelon of the APC to the governor may not be unconnected with the attempt to woo Lamido to the party’s fold.

The visit came on the heels of speculation that some governors, especially those amongst the G-7 governors, had started relating with the APC preparatory to dumping the PDP.

Some political analysts in Jigawa State described today’s meeting between Lamido and APC leaders as another turning point in the history of Nigerian politics.

The APC leaders, including Gen Muhammed Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, would also visit Governor Kwankwaso today.
