The Zamfara Emergency Management Agency on Monday said 18 women were delivered of their babies at Gatsura flood victims camp.
The Executive Secretary of the agency, Alhaji Atiku Maradun, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Gusau.
The victims are camped at Gyalenge Township Primary School in Gummi Local Government Area.
Maradun said the deliveries were recorded in the last three months.
He said each of the 17 women gave birth to single babies while one had a set of twins.
Maradun said the state government had already provided food items, clothes and drugs for the women and their babies.
The victims were relocated to the camp three months ago due to flood that ravaged their villages.
