BREAKING NEWS: Egyptian miss issue 48 hour ultimatum to political rivals. Settle or there will be a Coup

The Egyptian military has given a 48-hour ultimatum to the country's Islamist president to reach an agreement to "meet the people's demands," or it will intervene--tantamount to a military coup d'etat. Almost as surprising was the Egyptian military's description of the mass protests on Sunday that brought out millions of people demanding President Mohammed Morsi resign: "Glorious." Protesters expressed their opinions "in a peaceful and civilized manner," said the military, urging "it is necessary that the people get a reply to their calls." The military said it will not take part in politics or rule the country, but would set out a political road map for the country and ensure it is followed. Also over the weekend, protestors responded in a unique way to the overflight of an Egyptian military helicopter, by beaming dozens of laser pointers at it*
