Explosion Rocks Shopping Plaza In Abuja

Report reaching abusidiqu indicates that an explosion has occurred at a shopping plaza located in the Area 1 surburb of the Garki district in the Federal Capital Territory.

Details of the explosion remains sketchy, but an eye witness around the scene of the incidence said the explosion might be a gas explosion.

He said a loud sound was heard from a shoppimg mall named Shagari Plaza in the neighbourhood, but cannot immediately confirm how it happened.

People were seen running for safety as soon as the explosion occurred with the fear that it might be a bomb planted at the scene of the incident.

Already, security operatives comprising men of the police and Civil Defence Copr have already arrived the area and anbulances have also been stationed to care care of any eventually.

As at the time of this report, it cannot be confirmed if there is any casualty or the extend if there is.
