PDP, APC disagree over Amosun’s performance

The Ogun State chapters of the Peoples Democratic Party and the ruling All Progressives Congress have disagreed over the performance of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

While the Ogun PDP scored the Amosun-led administration very low, the APC accused the opposition party of seeking relevance by merely crying wolf where none existed.

The Ogun State  Chairman of  the PDP, Mr. Adebayo Dayo, while addressing aspirants for the various elective offices and members of his party from Ogun East Senatorial District in Ijebu Ode, said it had become imperative for the party to rescue the state from the alleged  poor governance by Amosun.

Dayo noted that it was only through hard work that the people of Ogun could free themselves from ‘Amosun’s bondage.’

But the state Publicity Secretary of APC, Mr. Sola Lawal, stated that Amosun’s administration had in the past two years touched the lives of the people through infrastructural rebirth.

The APC spokesman said, “Dayo’s claim about the Amosun administration is a mere poor voyage in quest for relevance. Having been caught in an inextricable descent into self-inflicted political oblivion, characters like Dayo must be pardoned for occasional distasteful outburst if only to convince his deep pocket sponsor that indeed, the huge fund invested is not lost. Life-changing engagements of the Amosun government expressed through infrastructural rebirth in Ogun are, in reality, too obvious for all to see.

“If only Dayo would be open-minded enough to dispassionately engage in analytical appreciation of his immediate native Ijebu environment, he would discover that his kinsmen now savour the dividends of democracy at an unusual level.”
