There was pandemonium in Ofu local government area of Kogi State on Tuesday following the abduction of younger brother to former governor Abubakar Audu, Alhaji Ibrahim Audu by some gunmen at his residence in Aloma.

LEADERSHIP gathered that Alhaji Ibrahim Audu was kidnapped around 8 pm on Monday night by heavily armed men who shot sporadically into the air to scare away neighbours.

The elder brother of the victim, Alhjai Abdulkadir Audu, who confirmed the incident to journalists, wondered why Ibrahim could be the target of the evil men.

The 40-year-old victim is the Managing Director of Orego Atta Petroleum.

As at the time of filing this report, the kidnappers were yet to make contact with the family of the victim, even as a source said the kidnap was politically motivated.
