Panic In A Delta Community Over Suspected Ritualists
Alisimie community in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State are in fear over alleged presence of suspected ritualists in the community.
Two of the suspected ritualists were allegedly spotted in one of the villages (Ahima) and again in Idumuenor, sources disclosed.
A woman, who went to harvest cassava was said to have narrowly escaped from the suspected ritualists, who were on the prowl for women private parts.
The development has heightened fears, tension and anxiety in the community as women no longer go to farm, unless accompanied by their husbands or grown up children.
Worried by the ugly development, the people of Idumuenor village were said to have combed the bush to apprehending the suspected ritualists with no luck.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Alisimie Central Executive Committee, Mr. Augustine Uwagwu, reacting to the development, urged the people in the community to be vigilant.
He called on the Delta State Government and the security agencies in the state to assist the community in addressing the alleged security threat.
