Manchester United Record Third Quarter Revenue
Manchester United have posted record 22.5% increase in third quarter revenue, taking the total to £91.7 Million for the period ending March 31st.
It also means there was a 31.9% rise in year-on-year commercial revenue for Manchester United, which includes advertising, tours and other factors.
Sponsorship revenue was up 52.2% rise to reach £21 million which includes a 9.5% rise in Retail, Merchandising, Apparel & Product Licensing to £9.2 million.
Ed Woodward, Executive Vice Chairman commented,
“Each of our three primary sectors — Commercial, Broadcasting and Matchday — delivered strong top-line gains and helped us achieve a record third quarter for both revenue and adjusted EBITDA. In addition, we are delighted to be continuing and deepening our relationship with Aon, as our new Training Kit, Training Centre and Tour Partner, for an additional eight years.”
Even greater news is the 15.9% drop in gross debt since the 30th June 2012, taking it to £436.9 million, something which most United fans have been angry about.
Winning the Premier League and increase TV revenue next year will likely see United even better of this time next year, unless spending increases
