Sacked Shooting Stars Coach Set For Dream Team Job

The former coach of the Shooting Stars who was sacked last season by the management of the Ibadan club Coach Amao can actually heave a sigh of relief as he has been penned down to resume a new job as the next coach of the U-23 national team also known as the Olympic Eagles.

The NFF technical committee arranged an interview which took place yesterday between them and the former Shooting Stars coach as the federation is also in the lookout for a technical director for the federation, as three people including former Super Eagles coach Shuaibu Amodu will be vying for the position which Amodu is likely to emerge favourite for.

According to the technical committee of the federation, a quota system has been put in place now which is why coach Amao is being favoured for the position of the coach of the Dream Team as he hails from the South-West since coaches of Super Eagles and Flying Eagles hail from the South-South while that of the Golden Eaglets is from the Northern region.
