Jonathan in Gombe for North East summit

President Goodluck  Jonathan, on Tuesday arrived in Gombe to attend the second North East Economic Summit.

The summit was organised by state’s in the north east comprising Gombe, Adamawa, Taraba, Borno, Yobe and Bauchi.

The president was accompanied by the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji  Bamanga Tukur and other important dignitaries.

Jonathan was received at the Gombe Airport by Gov. Babangida Aliyu of Niger, that of Bauchi, Isa Yuguda, the host, Ibrahim Dankwambo, and the acting governor of Taraba, Garba Umar.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that from the airport, the President proceeded to the Government House, Gombe, venue of the summit.

He is scheduled to pay homage to the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Shehu Abubakar and inaugurate some projects before leaving the state for Abuja.
