Jonathan replaces Enikuomehin with Adegbenro on NDDC board

President Goodluck Jonathan has withdrawn the name of Mr. Benson Enikuomehin from the list of nominees he submitted to the Senate last week for screening as new board members of the Niger Delta Development Commission.

Jonathan, in a letter personally signed by him and addressed to Senate President David Mark, dated November 21, 2013 but read by Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday, asked the senators to replace Enikuomehin’s name with that of Amuwa Benson Adegbenro.

The president did not give any reason for the withdrawal of Enikuomehin’s name.

The letter reads in part, “Further to my letter of 19th November 2013 forwarding names of Chairman and members of the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission for confirmation by the Distinguished members of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“I hereby write to formally request the withdrawal of the name of Enikuomehin BG Olorungbonju representing Ondo State (Serial number 14 on the said letter).

“In his place, I forward  the name of Barrister Amuwa Benson Adegbenro,  whose Curriculum Vitae is attached herewith,  as the nominee representing Ondo State.”
