Jang’s Faction Creates an Alternative Website of the NGF
The battle for the control of the Nigerian Governors' Forum, NGF, has extended beyond cloning physical infrastructures, running into the global network.
The Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang's faction of the forum has created a website to digitally support its claim to the forum.
Mr. Jang's faction has- since losing elections to main faction- replicated the forum's infrastructure, including, now, the website.
The Jang faction created the website on Thursday, May 30, following the opening of the faction's physical office in Abuja.
The Jang faction's website bears a great resemblance to the original website, carrying on the latter's green theme. The contents also bear a striking resemblance. While the Jang faction's website promotes his personality, the original forum's website relied on old contents to create a little balance between contents branding Mr. Amaechi and actual activities of the entire forum.
The Jang faction website, however, relied on the original website for contents relating to policy and facts.
Both sites, similar in name [new: Nigeria Governors Forum dot org and Original: Ng Governors Forum dot org] share the same heading.
The Jang faction's website lists members of the original forum, including Babatunde Fashola of Lagos - who is now suing Mr. Jang for usurping powers, and Rotimi Amaechi, winner of the last election - as its members.
