Papa Said It Was Continuous Deliverance” – Victim Raped By Pastor Opens Up

“ second victim of Pastor Princewill Basil who is in FCT High Court over alleged rape of two girls, on Tuesday claimed the suspect had raped her many times.

Arrested in 2012, the General Overseer, Mountain Movers Fire Ministry Church, Nyanya, the pastor was charged with having unlawful carnal knowledge and impregnating two teen members of his church.

Narrating her story, one of the victims, Sunday Kekere, said Basil had rape her to "cleanse her spirit of dirt".

According to her words, the pastor explained that it was a "continuous deliverance", stressing that he had to sleep with the girl in order to "clean all the dirt" inside her.

The victim was also asked to comment if the pastor had paid her school fees before as it was alleged.

To which the girl replied:

"Papa had once told me during deliverance that he gave my mum N40,000 for my school fees. When I asked my mum, she said it was not true."

The victim also confessed that Basil had several times threatened to kill her if she didn't sleep with him.

The case was adjourned to March 14 for further testimony.

It would be recalled that during the last sitting of the case on February 11, the first victim told the court that Basil had poured anointing oil on her private part and had raped her in order to "cleanse the teen from evil spirits".

Now may face 14 years in prison, if convicted. However, Basil pleads not guilty.
