EWUGA, OTHERS SET TO DEFECT TO PDP

Senator Solomon Ewuga of the APC led a delegation of major politicians of ethnic Eggon extraction for a meeting yesterday in the Abuja residence of former Nasarawa Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma, Daily Trust learnt.
This was a step towards Ewuga’s defection to the PDP, a source told Daily Trust yesterday.
Present at the meeting were former state deputy governor Michael Abdul, Senator Abubakar Sodangi, Nasarawa State Assembly Speaker Musa Mohamed, Senator Walid Jibrin, Senator Patricia Akwashiki, PDP state chairman and some executive members.
President Jonathan has set a special task force led by Minister of Special Dutes Kabiru Tanimu Turaki to try at all costs to steal some APC members of the National Assembly to defect to PDP.
A series of meetings were held and were expected to culminate last night with a meeting with Jonathan. The meetings are to herald Ewuga’s return to PDP, a source told Daily Trust.
