A local petroleum depot has exploded in Apapa local government area of Lagos state on Tuesday claiming two buildings, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said .
NEMA officials have begun evacuating occupants of the buildings. The explosion occurred at 12 and 14 of Edmor street by Wilmer crescent in Olodi, Apapa.
Other security agencies are expected to reach the scene of the explosion and help in the rescue efforts.
