Cleric urges FG to introduce allowances for unemployed, widows

The Leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Most Reverend Prophet Samuel Abidoye, has urged the Federal Government to introduce allowances for the unemployed, the less privileged and widows.

Abidoye made the call during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in IIorin.

He said that a lot of Nigerians were hungry and urged the government to endeavour to meet the needs of the people by providing food for the masses.

Abidoye said that the introduction of the allowance would stem the crime rate and the unemployment challenges in the country.

The Baba Aladura appealed to the government to make education free at all levels, to enhance the progress and economic development of the country.

The prophet further urged the government to review the country’s educational curriculum in favour of entrepreneurship, to make Nigerians employers of labour, instead of job seekers.

The Spiritual Father, however, appealed to Nigerians to embrace peace, saying that the Bible was not in support of killings and the shedding of blood.

He urged the people to contribute their quota to the progress of the nation.

Abidoye implored Nigerians to pray for the country at all times, for continued peace in the nation.
